Do pardon the frank discussion, but just out of professional & personal curiosity... How rare is the multiorgasmic male phenomena?
I seem to be able to obtain 2-3 without a refractory period, there seems to be somewhat reduced semen output following the first, however the 2nd seems more intense. Is this by definition a multiorgasmic male phenomena?
       Best wishes, Dr. Jeffrey Cates
       Dr. Cates,
To answer your first question, it depends on your definition of the term "multiorgasmic male." The male subject in our study, as explained at the website, is the first to ever be documented exhibiting a natural multiorgasmic capacity — thus we must assume it to be very rare. However, if you define male multiorgasmic response as that exhibited by any male who learns cognitive ejaculatory control techniques then, of course, the numbers are much higher.
To address the second issue, given your description which very closely parallels that described on the website, I would say it sounds as if what you experience is very similar if not identical to that experienced by our male subject. If such be the case, congratulations. For whatever reason, assuming you are not employing any techniques inhibiting or otherwise interfering with the natural orgasmic/ejaculatory processes, your body — if only for a brief period (2-3 orgasms) — is circumventing the stereotypical male refractory period. It would be interesting to discover in what ways you and our subject both differ and share physiological responses.

       Aaron

Could you send me a copy of the male orgasm study, and the techniques used to achieve your results. Thank You.
Aaron, the study has been submitted for professional publication. Once this is accomplished, the entire study will be available on the website for your perusal.
As the website makes clear, there are no "techniques" employed just as none are used by women to be multiorgasmic. Women don't need them because they are naturally able to have more than one without any "down" time. So also, the male Subject of our study is just as naturally multiorgasmic; he doesn't have any "down" time following full orgasm and ejaculation. This is why this study is so unique. We are hopeful to someday receive the funding necessary to discover why it is that he is so unique in comparison to the rest of the male population.

       Hello,
Although I don't want to give my name, I do want to mention something which I have recently experienced that may be of interest to you. I am a 31 year old male, and I have had one true multiple orgasm. I experienced two distinct, ejaculatory orgasms within about 10 seconds of each other. This had never happened to me before, and I am not sure if it will happen again, as there was no unusual substances or techniques used during this multi-orgasmic episode. None-the-less, I am curious about this phenomenon. Has it been documented in males before?
       Sincerely, Anonymous
Although experienced, it has not been scientifically documented. I would like to ask where or not the erotic stimulation during this multiple orgasm might have somehow been greater than normally experienced. While techniques are not necessary in natural multiple orgasm, as women have known for millennia, there are many other factors involved which certainly have an effect — for better or worse — in the sexual performance and satisfaction of both males and females alike.

Hi, I know that it isn't common, but why this big furor (or so it would seem from your web page) about multiple male orgasm? I can have 2-4 orgasms without any loss of erection, more if I am well-rested and "in the mood". As with the case you cited on your page, these are full, ejaculatory orgasms, and there is no "chemical stimulation" involved. Is this really that rare?
       Sincerely, James
Yes, this is that uncommon. How old are you and how long have you been as you are? It would be interesting to know.
As for "chemical stimulation", I have no idea what you refer to. What I did refer to was cognitive techniques which is what most men use to stop ejaculation so as to keep the refractory period from occurring.
While 2-4 isn't bad, our subject experiences many times this number with no loss in erection. Still, it is admirable that you can, hence my interest in finding out a bit more about this capacity of yours.

       Dr. Juan Kusnetzoff

       Dear sir:
I'm looking for scientific statistics about erectile problems, orgasm (male and female) premature ejaculation. Age, and others important parameters. Is it possible for yours?
       Thank you very much
       Dr. Juan Carlos Kusnetzoff
While our study dealt with the documentation of natural male multiorgasmic response and does contain statistical analysis of this unprecedented phenomenon, we cannot provide you with statistics for any other aspect of male sexual response as that was not our focus. The statistics of our study will be included, along with the entire study itself, at the website once the study has been professionally published. We are currently awaiting such publication.

I am so curious to wait your study to be published on the net.
I've read a book which was translated to Indonesian about 'multi-orgasm'. The original title is: The Multi Orgasmic Man: Sexual Secret Every Man Should Know by Mantak Chia and Douglas Abrams Arava. First published by Harper Collins in 1996.
So, please inform me with your study because I don't satisfied after read that book. Thanks for your attention and your kindness.
The study is to be published soon, and once published professionally, I will include the entire study at my website. I agree wholeheartedly that the book you reference does not provide very satisfactory answers to the male dilemma of having to sacrifice pleasure for prolonged erection, and that ejaculation is somehow unhealthy and detrimental to both a man's physical as well as spiritual wellbeing.

I found your website and read with interest. I have always been interested in multi-orgasmic males as it relates to bisexuality (and anal stimulation.) I am going to try to attach 2 quotes from a manuscript I wrote in 1994. The manuscript is a sexual autobiography attentively titled Not Born Gay. I eventually want to find a publisher through the web. If you quote from these quotes in print or on the web, please acknowledge J. Wayne Fox as author and show that I copyrighted this material in 1994.
The incidents described occurred in about 1965 in Venice Beach, California. The bisexual man I met later in 1973 was visiting Hawaii, where I lived then, and he was a practicing bisexual from Massachusetts, where at that time, they acknowledged and celebrated bisexuality. In California bisexuality was not popular until later but has disappeared because of blame for the AIDS epidemic.
I probably was multi-orgasmic in my teens and twenties but I never was comfortable enough in sexual relationships to let it blossom. I am 57 now and between lack of desire and blood pressure medications I am lucky to want sex twice a week and I can only ejaculate once.
I am interested in your response. Sincerely, Wayne
From Not Born Gay, copyright 1994:
Thank you for your interest and the attachments. The statement by the bisexual male on his presumption that multiorgasmic capacity is possessed by most bi-sexual males is certainly not documented nor logically concluded. In addition, the age-old question of what "multiorgasmic" means in the "male" context is not addressed. When a woman says she is multiorgasmic, the presumption is that she is naturally so (i.e., no "techniques," etc.). With the male, the definitions vary, as are outlined at my website in all previous studies conducted. Only in our study does "multiorgasmic" mean the same as it would in the female context (i.e., natural), and ejaculation is NOT made separate from orgasm. Thus, the manner in which your bisexual friend was "multiorgasmic" is not clear. The second attachment you included on what I assume was a personal experience certainly seemed to be natural, multiple orgasms. If so, then what you describe is exactly what the male participant in our study experiences. For him, however, and for whatever reason(s), he reports having always been in possession of this capacity, and certainly demonstrated this to our satisfaction. He is most certainly not bisexual, nor homo or bi curious. And, to date, he is still the only documented male known to naturally possess this sexual capacity. However, YOUR experience proves that — under certain degrees of arousal, and perhaps other as yet undefined conditions, this capacity CAN be experienced by males. We hope to someday discover what those conditions are.
Thank you again for your interest, and should I ever wish to use your quotes, I will of course give proper reference to them.

       Tim

I am very interested in what you learned in your study. Would there be a possibility that I could try to replicate what you all have found so far in your research?
       Regards, Tim
       Tim,
I can't claim to understand exactly what you propose, but I'm interested enough to listen. As for what we learned, all I can say is that we learned that the assumption that the Male Refractory Period is universal is not so. However, NO techniques were employed. This documented capacity was completely natural — as natural as that experienced by multiorgasmic women the world over, who likewise need learn no "techniques" or "philosophies" to experience what they do.
Given this, I can offer little advice as to how to go about replicating the research study — unless you are able to experience multiple orgasms with concurrent, natural ejaculations (with no holding back, etc.). However, perhaps there might be psychological means of eradicating the refractory period that a willing participant such as yourself might be able to discover.

       Jamie

When will the results of the Male Multiple Ejaculatory Orgasms case study results be published and posted on your website? Will the results include comparative information to suggest why this male subject does not experience a male refractory period? I would be very interested in any differences in blood chemistry or brain activity.
       Please email.
       Thanks, Jamie
The study results will be posted as soon as confirmation is received of publication by the professional journal who is presently reviewing the manuscript. This could happen at any time, and I will certainly keep you posted.
While we took exhaustive steps to monitor his physiological responses during the study so as to leave no room for doubt as to exactly what happened, the study results, unfortunately, will not contain any information regarding blood chemistry or brain activity. Such studies are planned, however, and as soon as we are published, we shall begin the necessary steps to continue our research. The first hurdle, and purpose of this initial study, was to verify the subject's claims. Given that such has never been documented, much less claimed (to our knowledge), made this the key first step. We took exhaustive steps to monitor his physiological responses during the study so as to leave no room for doubt as to exactly what happened. Now that his claims have been verified to us and, soon, to everyone else, we are hopeful that funding sources and opportunities will avail themselves given the unprecedented nature and portents for the future this study represents.
If you have any specific questions or comments that you would like to address to me, I will be happy to answer them as best I can.

       J. Bean

I feel compelled to respond to your recent Internet posting concerning male multiple orgasms (http://www.doitnow.com...).
It appears that multiorgasmic males are in the same situation as women were fifty years ago, a time when experts denied that they experienced "real" orgasms.
The male multiple orgasm is not a series of "mini" orgasms.
Nonejaculatory orgasms are more intense and satisfying than the typical ejaculatory orgasm. Masters and Johnson were wrong: orgasm (Phase I emission) and ejaculation (Phase II) are separate. Ejaculation adds little to the pleasures produced by Phase I emission (orgasm); in fact, it results in a weaker orgasm when it coincides with the first climax. The ejaculation is better described as the "after shock" of orgasm.
The stop-start method is an easy and effective means to achieve the male multiple orgasm, but most manuals have taught the more difficult squeeze method. By stopping at the onset of the orgasmic sensation, a man can let the semen flow out of his prostate without triggering the penile contractions that signal ejaculation and the end of his orgasm. The first orgasm will be weak, but once the prostate is "dry", the orgasms will grow stronger and stronger. The third, fourth, and fifth orgasms will be much more pleasurable than the man's usual orgasm-with-ejaculation. Given the right conditions, a man can have as many orgasms as he wishes (I have had up to thirty orgasms in a single hour, but even orgasms can become boring with repetition). However, it should be noted that there is also a satisfaction derived from draining all sexual energy from your body.
Beyond a certain number of orgasms, a man will probably want to terminate the session by squeezing out a terminative orgasm. Thus, in this sense, the refractory period offers a true satisfaction of its own (like scratching away an itch).
The above description of male multiple orgasm is confirmed by a recent article in the Archives of Sexual Behavior (1994). Laboratory measurements demonstrated that the man's orgasms grew stronger, then weaker, before ending in a terminative orgasm. The researchers note that, unlike multiorgasmic women, the man's final orgasm was more physically intense than his prior orgasms (though orgasm #3 was of comparable intensity). But this study also found that the male orgasm was twice as intense as the female orgasm. Furthermore, the nonejacultory orgasms of the male were as intense as those experienced by the multiorgasmic female subjects. So, there is some benefit to being male.
Finally, isn't it true that most female multiple orgasms have a terminative stage (i.e., a point beyond which they need time to recover)?
While there are examples in the literature of women having multiple orgasms ad infinitum, this is usually not the case. Isn't it true that most women can also "squeeze out" all their sexual energy thus reaching a state indistinguishable from the male refractory period.
Please don't misunderstand me: I believe the research that you and others are conducting the male orgasm is invaluable. Men are very much in the dark when it comes to their own sexuality. (Donna and Alan Brauer, in their book E.S.O., state that our culture's long-standing obsession with the female orgasm has resulted in men being the "neglected sex" in the bedroom).
I look forward to reading your final published results. Where and when will they appear in print?
       Sincerely, J. Bean
       Dear Mr. Bean,
While I certainly agree that men have always been on the losing end of orgasmic and multiorgasmic research, and that such research is of imperative importance to both males and females, what we documented in the laboratory is far removed from the male multiple orgasms you described.
While Masters and Johnson have long been lambasted for the research they conducted in not "properly" separating orgasm from ejaculation in the male, it is conveniently forgotten that they were documenting NATURAL orgasms as males experience them — and they did so in the 1000's! And naturally, the male sexual physiology always has ejaculation following orgasm, thus it IS an inherent component of orgasm. Were it not, reproduction could hardly take place. Thus, Masters and Johnson, in documenting male orgasms, reported what they saw. And what they saw was very accurate! Thus, in documenting the natural (and I emphasize, NATURAL) human orgasmic experience, both male and female, their findings are still just as accurate today as then.
Obviously, in their research, they never came across anyone who, UNnaturally, used cognitive techniques to separate orgasm from ejaculation. This separation is not natural. It requires practice and it requires a voluntary interruption in the body's natural sexual response cycle as recorded and reported by Masters & Johnson. (This, to my mind, validates M&J in that it is so accurate a model that only deliberate and practiced action on the part of the male can hope to circumvent it.)
That said, let me get to the true point of this reply: we did not document any such unnatural techniques. In fact NO such techniques were used, period. And that is the unprecedented nature this study represents. In your email to me you said: "By stopping at the onset of the orgasmic sensation, a man can let the semen flow out of his prostate without triggering the penile contractions that signal ejaculation and the end of his orgasm." This is of course, true! However, we discovered a male who does not need to stop anything. One for whom the full, natural ejaculatory process does NOT result in a refractory period. His sexual physiology is completely unique to any previously documented — hence our interest in researching this.
Please re-read my section on "Previous Studies" and you will find I have summarized all previous studies on the subject (with the exception of the 1994 study you referenced — and on that one, I would love to receive more information!). In particular, please read the study done, in the laboratory as with ours, by Kothari (1989). In this study he makes a couple particularly interesting conclusions based on the precise physiological measurements he recorded regarding the pleasure levels of male and female multiple orgasms, respectively: "The intensity of orgasmic pleasure is reduced in (male) multiorgasm. This is because the voluntarily initiated striated muscle contractions at a critical point (orgasmic inevitability or ejaculatory inevitability), if sustained, merge and interfere with their own pleasure laden, clonic involuntary rhythm associated with the orgasmic experience." — P. Kothari (Multiorgasm: psychophysiodynamics, 1989)
According to this most recent study (that I am aware of, anyway), Kothari clearly makes no bones that the unnatural process of voluntarily stopping ejaculation cannot help but distract and thus diminish the pleasure of such orgasms. Having personally used these techniques for myself, I can validate on a subjective level his assessment of them.
In a final comparitive analysis of both the male and female multiorgasmic experience, Kothari concludes thusly: "Female multiorgasmic experience requires no such efforts and if any concentration is required, it is only on the existing pleasurable sensations and on those which are going to follow... By and large, the male multiorgasmic experience is the outcome of effort but for the female it is an effortless experience." — P. Kothari (Multiorgasm: psychophysiodynamics, 1989)
Our male subject was simply born, as are females, with NO refractory period necessary between as many natural orgasms as desired. These orgasms are not the "mini" ones you describe, but are the complete, natural, full orgasms experienced by the male physiology without the used of any "techniques."
Your comments on female orgasm, while interesting, are without objective research that I can discover. In fact, the research on same would seem to indicate the opposite. For females, each subsequent orgasm becomes more intense and without the "terminative" orgasm you describe. Males do, however. And, it is quite understandable why the final orgasm (as you state) is the most intense, as this is where the male allows his sexual physiology to respond NATURALLY, that is, to allow natural ejaculation along with the pleasurable penile contractions that accompany it. Imagine how much more pleasurable it would be to experience such natural orgasms throughout the entire multiorgasmic experience — and with no concern for the refractory period, as there is none! This is what our male subject experiences naturally every time, and has since the age of four. Multiorgasmic females are no different.
This is why my website is titled: True Male Multiorgasmic Response. For that is precisely what we documented. No techniques, no withholding ejaculation, no cognitive interruptions necessary — no "requirements" needed. No distractions, just pleasure in allowing the body to do what it does in naturally seeking and experiencing pleasure for as long as is desired.
Our study is currently pending publication with "Archives of Sexual Behavior" and will be published at my website as soon as it is published in that professional periodical.
If I haven't bored you with my long-windedness, please reply.

Thank you for your informative reply. A "no holds barred" multiple would be a delight indeed! Of course, the subject you studied sounds like a one in a billion occurrence. Any evidence that "mere mortals" can replicate his performance? One thing has always confused me in the literature. Although there is no mention of a female "refractory period," most women reach a point where their sexual organs are too sensitive to continue further. Most multiorgasmic women also have a "stopping point" (though there are recorded cases of women have an endless series of orgasms). My wife has multiples but she usually has to stop after a few. The article in ARCHIVES OF SEXUAL BEHAVIOR does use the term "terminative orgasm" for their multiorgasmic female subjects. What would cause this "terminative" state? Or are we to assume that all women are capable of an endless series of orgasms? On what grounds do we base this assumption?
Are you familiar with the Brauers research on E.S.O.? What does the scientific community think of their research? The only anecdotes they give of E.S.O. altered states are by women (they claim men are capable of this feat, but it appears that a man must exert the control of a zen master to do so). I have a sneaking suspicion that they included a male version of E.S.O. only to sell more copies.
What about the intensity (amplitude) of orgasmic contractions? The ARCHIVES article stated that the amplitude of male contractions was twice that of the female subjects. (See also: Bohlen, Joseph G., et al. "The Male Orgasm: Pelvic Contractions Measured by Anal Probe," Archives of Sexual Behavior 9.6 (1980): 503-521; Bohlen, "The Female Orgasm: Pelvic Contractions," Archives of Sexual Behavior 11.5 (1982): 367-386).
Has anyone ever studied the effects of prostate stimulation? This seems to provide a much more intense, deeper, and longerlasting orgasm in men.
I think you are probably right that men will never be able to experience natural multiples. Mark Twain called this "God's horrid jest," didn't he? : )
       Sincerely, JB
       Dear Jon,
I've enjoyed your emails as they are both informative and intriguing. No less this one. Again, you cite references I am frankly unaware of, thus my curiosity is piqued.
While you are of course correct in your position that females obviously cannot go on (or rather, "cum" on) forever, yet their physiologies do not limit them nor keep them from doing so. That is the major difference and what constitutes the "refractory period" which so identifies and distinguishes male sexual response from that of the female. For males, once natural orgasm and ejaculation occurs, regardless how much the male may desire to continue sexual congress, "Mr. Happy" (I always try to use highly technical terminology) is unable to comply for a period of time. The female has no equivalent to this, at least not physiologically. This is not to say that females do not exist but what they are multiorgasmic. Obviously they do, and this is to be expected. For most women, one to three orgasms in a love making "session" is much more the norm than that of the truly "insatiable" female multiorgasmic. This is due to individual degrees of sexual and sensual capacity and desire. However, for the male, regardless of level of libido, culture, race, etc., the "refractory period" will occur once the male has naturally ejaculated. Thus, this is a very basic and key physiological difference which for millennia has plagued mankind (as you referenced from Twain's quote — which, by the way, I would LOVE to know where it might be found).
For whatever reason, the male Subject of our study was born with a very unique physiology. We don't yet know why his body responds as it does, but we are hopefully to someday be able to identify the causes of the Male Refractory Period, and given the insight his own physiology can provide, perhaps succeed in offering this to males everywhere — effectively eradicating the Refractory Period from male sexuality. Of course, this will take much research and the funding to do so. But that is our hope.
Yes, I have read Brauer's E.S.O. book. Again, they expound what seems to equate orgasm with a more heightened, sensual kind of meditation, almost, than to actual orgasm, as if trying to convince people that "psychological orgasm" is the answer to the refractory period. Yes, I consider this also to be a sham, for it touts another "technique" as the same as orgasm, when it is not. Kinda like telling the "follicly-challenged" that the toupee was just as good as real hair. While this might make bald men feel so much better, it is not true.
Our study documents the real thing, and surprisingly for the first time ever. Thus, it has been quite a challenge to NOT have this study equated and lumped in with all the rest. Thank you for your interest, and should you have any specific questions or comments, please write again.

OK enough already!!!, I will give you 50$ if you can really show me how to do this!! I and my wife are very interested in this !!!! PLEASE forward all information on how to do this!!!!
       Thanks, Scott and Sharon
LOL! I understandably receive a lot of email on this, however I enjoyed yours the most, I think.
If I could show you how to do this, I'd be an instant zillionaire. I wish I could, however we don't know how or why this occurs. Our study was only the first in a series of studies we hope to accomplish in the near future which might result in a better understanding of what exactly causes the refractory period to trigger following full, natural ejaculation. I would be happy to provide you with all I know on the subject, and perhaps you might discover something on your own. Our male participant was born this way, and neither he nor we know why he is so unique. It took him ten years just to find someone willing to BELIEVE that such a thing was possible.
Our ultimate goal is to provide other males with key, already possessed by our male participant, to do away with the male refractory period, altogether. In this way, males the world over would not be hampered any longer by a limited sexual physiology. Just how possible this might be we don't know. However, now we at least know that it is possible and that it does naturally exist, just as it has always existed for females. After all, women have had such a sexual potential for millennia, why not men? Multiorgasmic women use no techniques, and also cannot tell you why they are able to do what they do — they just do!
I hope this helps, and I would be happy to answer any and all other questions either of you might have. Frankly, it may be that from open-minded couples like you, I might be able to begin puttin' the pieces together! Perhaps you can provide that (and others like you). Should this be of interest to you, let me know. Regardless, it's going to take sincere, motivated ppl like you to help discover ALL the pieces, and find what fits and what doesn't in this millennias-old riddle. But if we could — what a benefit to humankind!

       how you get orgasm?
is it really just psyhic orgasm.
It is not psychic orgasm, no. It is natural, fully ejaculatory orgasm, the same as all men experience naturally. The difference is that there is no refractory period thereafter, so that further orgasms are possible. During the study, we had the male subject collect each ejaculate in a separate container and then had it analyzed to verify that it was full, natural male ejaculate. And each of the six certainly were. No "psychic" orgasm involved.

       John

       hi!
If you have a list of techniques and things i could do to become multiorgasmic, please send them to me.
       thanks, John
While books on techniques abound (e.g.: "Any Man Can", 1984, Hartman & Fithian; "How to Make Love All Night", 1995, Keesling; etc.), our study documented a natural male multiorgasmic pattern without techniques of any kind. In the male studied, no refractory period existed — he was simply born that way. Should further research prove successful, we hope to someday provide males everywhere with this same natural ability, without need to learn techniques. After all, women have been doing it technique-free for millennia.
All techniques have in common the interruption of the ejaculatory process following orgasm. It is this which somehow causes the refractory period in most males.

       1. I was wondering if there was any way to increase the amount of a males semen? How does the body reproduce semen? Are there any vitamins, supplements, medications, etc. available to produce above and beyond the amount of semen that the body produces?
       2. When a male ejaculates, there may be more sperm at first, but when he ejaculates again, the sperm decreases. Is it possible, if a man were capable of reproducing sperm within his own body, that the presence of the abundance of sperm alone may cause him to be able to ejaculate as many times as he wishes? In other words, could the presence of an abundance of sperm in the male sexual organs create sexual drive and stamina to be multi-orgasmic? It just seems that when the sperm gets low, so does the drive. I hope this isn't a stupid question.
If there is any validity to these 2 questions and you have answers to them, please post a reply to my questions to your webpage and I will check back. Thank you
(As you made your message "private" while not giving me an email address to respond to, I'm responding now by re-entering your questions at the Guestbook without making it a private message. Private messages cannot be responded to at the Guestbook.)
In answer to your first question: there is no known way of effectively increasing the body's production of semen. The best way to optimize your body's production is through good nutrition, regular exercise and sufficient rest. The only additional recommendation I can offer is to wait at least three days in between ejaculations. This allows your body the time it needs to refill the testicles with semen.
To answer your second question: As mentioned in the previous answer, the body depletes its accumulated semen volume each time ejaculation occurs. This is why the first ejaculation is naturally the greatest in volume. Thereafter, the ejaculate volume decreases as the remaining semen volume is depleted. Imagine hand-pumping a well (like you see in the old westerns) that is almost empty. The first two or three pumps will result in a full measure of water volume, thereafter the volume will decrease until, finally, only a few drops are released. This is not dissimilar to what happens in subsequent ejaculations following the first one or two.
It is important to note here that just because the semen volume expelled decreases with each subsequent orgasm, the intensity and pleasure of each is NOT related to semen volume expelled. They are entirely unrelated. There are two factors only that determine just how pleasurable the orgasms are:
       1. The level of your arousal, and
       2. natural orgasms, without the distraction of having to use "techniques", tantra, etc., which interferes with the pleasure as it forces you to abort the orgasm before natural ejaculation (with its pleasurable contractions) can fully occur.
(Oh! One final observation: our male participant reports that, with each subsequent orgasm, and probably due to the build up of endorphins released with each orgasm, the pleasure and intensity grows with each one until a "natural high" results.)
       Hope this helps!

I am a 49 year old male and have the ability to ejaculate without having a full orgasm. I can be stimulated to the brink of orgasm and enjoy PC muscle contractions and with control can ejaculate without having a full orgasm. I can remain in a state of orgasmic bliss for quite some time then with continued stimulation I have a "dry" orgasm with many PC muscle contractions. Is this normal?
Given what you have told me, this is quite common among those males who have learned how to use the cognitive PC muscle techniques described in ancient Chinese and Indian manuscripts, and more recently taught in such books as: "Any Man Can" (Hartman & Fithian, 1984), "How to Make Love All Night" (Keesling, 1994), and "The Multi-Orgasmic Male" (Mantrak & Chia, 1996). While this is not the natural multiorgasmic response documented in our study, it is certainly "normal." The more important question is how you feel about it. If it brings you pleasure, then whether it is considered "normal" or not really doesn't matter; it works for you!

I was fascinated by your findings. May I ask two questions.
Firstly, the fact that your subject ejaculated six times in 36 minutes indicates that he tends to reach orgasm quickly. Does this vary from the first ejaculation to the last and how quickly does he ejaculate the first time?
Secondly, how does his orgasm and ejaculation compare with the "average?" I read a study some time ago which indicated that a man was much less likely to be aroused again quickly if he had a particularly lengthy and prolific ejaculation.
Thank you for your comments. To answer your questions, it took the male participant about 20 minutes before he had his first orgasm/ejaculation. Thereafter the intervals between each subsequent orgasm/ejaculation varied from a couple minutes to about 9 minutes. And no, it cannot be said that the intervals necessarily lengthened with each orgasm.
As for your second question, I must assume you are making a correlation between the amount of ejaculate expelled and the length of the time before another ejaculation. This, too, depends. The quantity of ejaculate expelled depends primarily on the length of time elapsed since last ejaculation. Understandably, a man who has not ejaculated in several days is going to expel a greater volume of ejaculate than a man who has already orgasmed within the hour. Our male participant's semen volume on first orgasm was understandably much greater than in the subsequent orgasms. However, between his first and second orgasm, only two minutes elapsed. When asked why the intervals varied from 2 minutes to 9 minutes during the study, the participant responded that, as he was viewing a videotape for visual stimulation, the orgasms coincided with those scenes considered by him most erotic. This made sense to me.
Should you have any other questions, feel free to write back!

Why was the duration of the test 36 minutes with 6 orgasms? Was the subject incapable of going on, or was 6 an arbitrary figure established before the test?
       Thanks, great site. Tony
Well, the experiment lasted almost an hour. He had his first orgasm about 20 minutes into the experiment. As for the limited timeframe you reference, it turned out that the climate control inside the small room was inoperative and soon became so hot and stuffy that, with sweat running into his eyes, he finally had to stop the experiment earlier than he otherwise would have. In addition, he also had no partner, and had to abide by very tedious and distracting verbal reporting and semen collection procedures during all this while abiding the discomfort of attached scientific instrumentation. It was, frankly, amazing he was able to perform at all under such trying circumstances. Glad you enjoyed the site!

Thanks for your reply. As you say, it is amazing that under those circumstances the subject was able to have an orgasm at all, let alone six. Did he ever mention how many orgasms he was able to achieve under more normal conditions?
       Tony
On average, he stated that he experiences between 5 to 10 orgasms daily. He also stated that he once timed himself for fun to see how many he could have in a very limited time period, and had five in six minutes. The greatest number he has ever recorded experiencing on the same erection was "over 20" in about a two hour period. Obviously the laboratory data, while remarkable, was not the norm for him, understandably.
