I had found your website through MAXIM magazine, in their web guide, in the December 2000 issue with Tara Reid on the cover. I had previously written about the book "The multi orgasmic man, how any man can experience multiple orgasms and dramatically enhance his sexual relationship". This is a very useful grimoir and the techniques are fascinating. The theme of the book from the very beginning is that a man must separate the idea of ejaculation from the concept of orgasm. this sensible albeit disappointing concept is the key to everything.
I think the reason I am writing to you again is that I had remembered an event that I had experienced, and I thought I would share it with you. The male response to situations where a loved one is separated from him is that the subconscious works on the sexual function to enable the male to inundate the female with semen during intercourse once the loved one is reunited with him. Theoretically, this is a result of evolution whereas the principal male endeavors to wash out any semen deposits left by rival males in his absence. The goal being to ensure that his genes are the ones being passed down. This is achieved through multiple orgasm and the temporary suspension of M.R.P., I had found this out by reading an article in Playboy magazine a long time ago, and then by personal experience at a later date.
When I went into the military in 1986, there was a young girl in my life at that time who shared my apartment. She always made me nuts. She was great in the sack, but there was something about her personality that I just couldn't stand! She had the maturity of a ten year old, and she was constantly flirting behind my back. (And she was overweight.) She was seventeen at the time.
Well, I thought that by leaving her for six months the relationship would dissolve. Unfortunately, it did not. She kept writing to me and stupidly, I kept writing back. I will spare you all the sordid details and just get to the point. When I retuned to the area I looked her up. She was staying in a tent pitched in the backyard of a trailer in a mobile home park. Well, I saw her, and she had lost some weight! Her and I got to talking while her guy "friend" hovered about. It wasn't long until her and I excused ourselves and made a beeline to the tent. Now, I should tell you, in that tent I had the greatest sexual experience of my life until that time. I had a huge throbbing rock-solid that just appeared out of nowhere, and we went at it like a couple of animals in heat. This girl really really loved me, I have never met one like her since. Anyway, I blew my wad deep inside her vagina again and again and again and again and again, with absolutely no effect on my turgid cock whatsoever! Then, to my utter dismay, she told me to stop. She said that it was because her "friend" was whining outside the tent. (I couldn't hear a thing.) She said it had been almost half an hour, it only seemed like only five minutes. I counted five or six orgasms before she cut me off. I was like a man possessed. I could feel the cum shooting through my raging hard on like the flood surging through a fire hose, and I could feel the local euphoria, but my mind had remained clear, it was like the lower half of my body was in ecstasy while the upper half was in total control. I hate to say it, but it seemed like my instincts were running the show while my mind remained focused. The normal heady feeling of orgasm just wasn't there. I could feel the pleasure sensation mounting and then the subsequent orgasm, but the impact of the ecstasy felt like it was far away or something, it didn't effect me in the way that an orgasm normally would. My erection was still intact as she cleaned herself with a towel. She couldn't stop glaring at me, giggling and slowly saying "Oh my God". The runoff was like a river.
I desperately wanted to resume the intercourse, I felt like I had not even got off once. I felt like all I wanted to do was to shoot another wad! But there were voices outside of the tent now, and someone was calling her. She just glowed at me, smiling.
Anyway, this is something I had forgotten about and the ultimate heartache of that entire chapter of my youth is the primary reason. I have not had an experience quite the same again ever since.
The man whom you are studying, (yeah, STUD-eeeee!) L.O.L. :0 :) ;D :) You might want to ask him if he gets this brain blank out when he shoots a wad. Chances are he will tell you something like what I had just told you. I bet his body is somehow not transmitting that mind numbing signal that the rest of us have to put up with.
Somehow your Nosferatu is bypassing the normal control system shut down that mother nature saw fit to provide.
I bet you could do it too, but first you must find a girl that is desperately in love with you, then take a vacation far away while she associates with a bevy of handsome young studs. When you return, you might experience what I have told you about. And this guy can do it at will?
Perhaps it has something to do with his endocrine system or his hormone levels.
....Lucky Stiff.
A.R.C.
Yep, those young girls will getcha every time!
Seriously though, as you experienced, it is possible to overcome MRP on those rare occasions when emotions and eroticism combine to the fever-pitch intensity you enjoyed on that occasion. As for our "Nosferatu," it is simply the way he was born. We believe we are getting closer to understanding why this is, though. In his case, there appears to be a rather unique physiological and anatomical difference that might account for his natural lack of MRP. We'll keep you all posted as research continues.
Thank you for your detailed experience!

Hi!
Found your website through a reference in Maxim. I am not sure why the authors of this site believe the information provided here is so revolutionary. The subject of this study is one of many men who can accomplish this feat (ever seen Peter North the porn stud?) After criticizing tantric/taoist philosophy over and over again, when it comes to explaining how to accomplish the technique of conquering the MRP all that can be suggested is to use taoist ejaculatory control exercises. I have been practicing such exercises for many years now and have become quite proficient at it. I can have sex many times each day for days on end before ejaculating. I would not consider the pleasure I feel inferior to that of ejaculation. The pleasure intensifies the longer I remain in control and I love to ride along the edge of coming for hours. I have also experienced increased energy levels and satisfaction from making love. Whether taoist doctrine is correct in all aspects I doubt but it does have much of value to offer if you become attuned to your spiritual energies. Without getting in touch with the eros energy within it is a very unsatisfying path.
If you truly believe Peter North is naturally multiorgasmic and does not possess MRP, then it is likewise understandable why you would argue that orgasm-aborting techniques are preferrable to a natural, MRP-free, multiorgasmic capacity. You might choose to take a closer look at how Peter North performs, or rather doesn't perform, once he's ejaculated. As for ejaculatory-control techniques enhancing pleasure, the scientific research on this disagrees with you, as well: www.multiorgasmic.com/previousstudies.htm#KothariPleasure
Thank you for your remarks.

I have a quite long refractory period, like days or a week, even. Age 56. I recall once at age 35 when I had 4 orgasms within 3 hours. Never had tried that before or since. I felt exhausted and reclusive the next day (refractory).
Yep. That damned refractory period. Were it not for that, who knows what heights of sensual pleasure and fulfillment men and women might otherwise attain together?

I found your research declaration at a Yahoo group called Edgingdenialclub, in a file. I have been practicing "edging", and I must affirm the high erotic state I can attain, as an alternative to normal ejaculation.
The feeling is like expansion, like I turn into a powerful hulk, ready to explode or send a megawatt of electricity into the local power grid, for as long as I can maintain it (tailor it to the time available). There is a picture at the website's homepage showing an excited solo male with superimposed electrical discharge coming off his penis. That's it!
Back to MRP, I had an experience with my wife to share: it was the first time I used Viagra. We were bringing her to climax before I entered her vagina, and I had been getting too limp while going through this foreplay for half an hour. What happened? On Viagra, when time for penetration occurred, my dick was hard enough to get in, too hard because it wouldn't flex to conform to her, but OK. I had the best sensations I'd ever experienced, ejaculated and knew I could just continue. I did, and maybe 10 minutes later, came off again.
An Army buddy told me once, now I recall, that he did this sometimes. "When you come, just pump up to the next one".
At another Yahoo group called Maleroommates, the moderator and other members tell stories of their exciting experiences. The moderator (if truthful) is another of these men who has multiple orgasms, 2 anyway. And a couple of his friends, straight and gay. You might want to contact rabidflea@yahoo.com about including him as a research subject. Do yourselves a favor.
Paul
The term "edging" appears to be yet the latest example of an ancient sex technique repackaged under new terminology. Also called "riding the edge", "riding the crest", etc., this technique is used to ride the edge of orgasm without going over into orgasm and ejaculation for as long as possible. By approaching yet not allowing orgasm to occur, the man builds and builds his orgasmic energies and tensions. It's basically teasing and teasing and teasing yourself until you finally allow yourself to then go over the edge into orgasm. And yes, this does greatly increase the intensity of pleasure experienced. Now imagine all of that... and then being able to go right into your next "edging" (orgasm teasing) experience, riding that greater stronger crest even higher, orgasming again, and then on to the next orgasm... and on and on. This is what is possible when MRP is eliminated, just as it is and always has been for multiorgasmic women.
As regards two orgasms in a row, this is fairly common — especially among young males — as discussed often in this guestbook. Usually this results when a young man experiencing relatively new sexual delights becomes unusually aroused, thus postponing MRP until after the second orgasm. Yet even here despite high arousal, MRP still will catch up with him and drag him "down" (as it were) after that second or third orgasm.
Yet again, it is MRP that puts the brakes on male sexual pleasure and its potentials no matter what other techniques are used.

Question for Research Subject: has your prolactin level been checked?
I wonder if perhaps your pituitary gland is not making any?
Why prolactin? According to our information, while present in men as well, prolactin is more specifically linked to lactation in women. Additionally, a lack of prolactin in the male appears to result in impotence rather than increased erectile and orgasmic function.

There was a story recently about a researcher who gave men Cabergoline (which reduces prolactin) and it shortened their refractory period, so they could have more orgasms sooner.
A few years ago, orgasms were found to cause a large increase in prolactin, and this is hypothesised to cause a short-term blocking of libido.
We have recently been made aware of this possible prolactin connection and are currently investigating the studies done on this. Thank you!

What a coincidence. I was out surfing and came across your site the day after I had my first natural MMO experience in 20+ years. I'm a 54 year old male. I had multiple fractures of the back in the early 70s. Finally I am receiving adequate treatment for all the problems (pain etc) resulting from that injury.
For starters let me disabuse the notion that endorphins produce an "opioid" type "high". I take hundreds of mgs of morphine every day. It never, not even once, resembled post orgasmic glow or any other stage or part of arousal. It's a CNS depressant that tends to produce testosterone suppression, low libido and suppressed orgasms if it does anything at all in that direction.
In an unusual twist I started in with "tickling the tiger" at age 13 when I started masturbating, usually going for 30+ peaks, once more than 100 just out of curiosity. When we got married my wife was at best mono-orgasmic in intercourse, and that after an hour or more of steady pumping. As my injuries took their toll this became impossible.
In my readings I found I had already selfdiscovered or intuitively knew much of the tantric and taoist teachings on technique. One of the things I found is that if I reached the "second level" (seemed like a quantum jump) of arousal then I would be multiorgasmic for the rest of the session. This didn't happen often in those days. Then the pain and injuries closed in and it was all downhill after that to almost nothing.
We started working with ESO; from her point of view a finger was better than nothing, but not much. Over the next few years she became regularly multiorgasmic and then was able to go into a continuous state. Then we start intercourse. I find her energies very energizing to me but because of non sexual factors I was only good for about 10 minutes of what she prefers.
Six years ago I met a woman who became my alchemical sex partner. The emphasis was completely different. As some have mentioned we reached incredible states of mystical union, ecstacy and other experiences. These sessions often go 4 to 8 hours with 4+ hours of intercourse (sitting). I wouldn't trade that for any amount of ordinary orgasm. I learned a lot too about many aspects of orgasm.
If my penis gets hypersensitive after orgasm, I am usually in for MRP. If sensation virtually disappears, MRP. However, under those conditions in which neither happens but instead it feels like the sensation keeps feeding it into the intensity of the orgasm, feeling better and better, there is NO MRP. I have learned over the years how to hit that "doorway" into that better and better. These things took attention and suppression; both with "clenching" and "relaxing" techniques; of the orgasm until that "2nd level" of arousal was reached.
A few nights ago my wife and I were having sex. It was late and I was tired. The only thing that was different was a change in meds that has decreased some severe bloating on my part. I was able to be physically more comfortable and less strained and literally get closer to her. I wasn't physically exhausted after the first (no special techniques either) and as I was highly aroused (2nd level, it has become almost routine with practice) I just continued on to a second and a third full ejaculatory orgasm in the next 5 minutes much to her surprise and mine before physical exhaustion.
Something else I experienced when younger. One day I wanted to see the answer to that old question of how many? I masturbated every half hour to orgasm. After the sixth one something happened that surprised me. The second one took longer than the first, the 3rd a little more difficult than the second. Then something happened that amazed me. The erections started coming back faster and feeling better and better. After the 6th I didn't lose the erection and could keep on going or rather like the energizer bunny with the reversed battery, coming and coming. And it felt better and better as I kept going. I ran out of steam (arms etc) about an hour later.
So, I come to a few hypothesis'. The MRP can be bypassed. Possibly whatever causes it can be exhausted or perhaps the cumulative effect of my multiple singles that time was the heightened arousal (stage 2) mentioned elsewhere. A higher level of arousal can definitely lead to multiple orgasms. Maybe YOU have the luck to just naturally go to that higher arousal state ALWAYS and have discovered that MRP is an artifact of the more common naturally low arousal states. Very few appear to be aware of this 2nd and 3rd (different characteristics yet) quantum state of arousal.
In any case, I found that the naturally occurring multiple orgasms were great on the few occasions I've had them. Were they better than 4 hours of ecstatic union? I'm not even going to try to compare. They go different places and do different things though activating many of the same energies. They were quite different and with similarities. If I continue to experience more multiples as my rehab continues I'll let you know. I wouldn't want to give up either. They seem to have gotten more likely with the practice of the other techniques and routinely reaching higher arousal levels.
As to volumes of ejaculate; my wife mentioned that I seemed to put out a huge amount to her. We measured it a couple of times and it went 10+ cc (2 teaspoons). I have had the smoothly flowing semen type (relaxed, not clenched) and that can amount to 4-5 cc the first time. I haven't measured it in years but it doesn't seem like as much now.
As far as female ejaculation, I don't know about gushes but I have experienced little internal squirts of liquid; against the dorsal head of my penis deep within, nowhere near the urethra, of poor lubricating qualities when my partner is at certain stages of orgasm.

Very nice site — but where can I find out to prevent MRP?
That is the 64 Billion Dollar Question... literally, given how much in-demand the answer to it would be.
This study documented this capacity for the first time, thus proving that MRP is not the universal limitation the "sexperts" have always claimed. However until further research into the actual causes of MRP can be accomplished and then further study identifying why the Research Subject's own physiology is not susceptible to it, no answer to the MRP question can be determined.

I am 13 and I do not lose my erection after ejaculation. Is that normal for my age and will it go away when I get older? I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I started masturbating when I was 7.
It is not uncommon for adolescent boys such as yourself to remain erect following orgasm. According to Kinsey, this phenomenon tends to disappear in adulthood. However, as with our Research Subject, there are cases where this natural multiorgasmic capacity continues on into adulthood and throughout life. Only time will tell in your case. Best of luck!

I'm in my early 20's, which probably helps a great deal, but here's my story: I have no problem getting fully erect and reaching full orgasm 5-6 times in a single lovemaking session.
Many times, I am able to come, stay hard and keep going for some time afterwards, but cannot reach orgasm a second time on a single erection without intense and vigorous stimulation, but it has happened. Generally, to have another orgasm, I've got to smoke a cigarette and drink some Gatorade for a few minutes, then start again.
It seems a large part of the MRP phase is a decrease in sensitivity, as opposed to many females who experience hyper-sensitivity immediately following orgasm, which lends to easy multiple orgasms.
I would be curious to know if most men experience the same decrease in sensitivity during MRP, and if it is physiological or psychological in nature.
One thing I will say about delay and control techniques; when orgasmic peak is delayed it tends to heighten psychological arousal and intensify the orgasm when it does come. This intensity and heightened arousal seems to play a large part in the ability to and desire to go for Round 2 (or 3, or 4...) A "premature" orgasm generally leaves you feeling a little ashamed and embarrassed, not really in the mood to do it again. Perhaps psychological arousal figures greatly in the occurrence and persistence of MRP.
Just my 2 cents.
Interesting "2 cents" worth.
The loss of sensitivity is an interesting point. Upon referencing this to the Research Subject, he pointed out that as he is physically a bit unique, post-orgasmic hypo- or hyper-sensitivity is not an issue in his case. This might be either the key factor or a contributing factor to his lack of MRP.
There is equal evidence that hyper-sensitivity can be responsible for decreased orgasmic capacity. In women where such post-orgasmic clitoral hyper-sensitivity commonly occurs, continued stimulation can actually be painful. Males, as well, often experience a degree of hyper-sensitivity in the coronal area following orgasm.

I myself am multiorgasmic, but the emotional component has a lot to do with it. For me it is a very psychological thing. I have had intercourse for upwards of 4 hours without stopping, during which I have 6-10 full ejaculatory orgasms.

Has there been any surveys regarding the actual global market for this? People might not even care.
As discussed at this website, up to 33% of all men suffer from what is commonly described as "Premature Ejaculation," meaning that they are unable to keep from orgasming (i.e., maintain erection) long enough to satisfy their partners or themselves. That statistic alone is sufficient to warrant further research into MRP, which is the actual cause of Premature Ejaculation. Additionally, Viagra's popularity despite its exhorbitant cost also evidences the great interest on the part of men in achieving and sustaining erection, which were MRP not an issue would significantly improve sexual performance and satisfaction on the part of both men and, presumably, women.
Finally, what man wouldn't rather be free to enjoy orgasm after orgasm without having to stop after each one and "rest" for a half hour, an hour, a day, or more before being able to continue sexual stimulation?
Given that the male sex drive is by far the greatest single motivating factor in almost all males, a survey is not needed to prove the case for research into MRP and its causes that might ultimately free all men to enjoy their sexual potentials to the same degree as are women.
Thank you for your question.

You may be right, it's still speculation without actual numbers and figures to back it up. I'd like to see funding for this, but to be realistic, you need actual market data to show them. Did anyone hire a market research firm? I know a few.
Also, how close are they to accomplishing this? That's critical too in finding funding :-).
There are already numerous professionally conducted studies and surveys documenting the fact that Premature Ejaculation is the single greatest male sexual dysfunction. Additionally, the sales figures from all the many male "multiorgasmic" books already on the market clearly show in dollars and cents just how much in demand such a male capacity would be.
While additional market research data might be nice, we do not feel it a priority at this time. However, thank you for your suggestion.

I also think most of these "multi-orgasmic males" on this guestbook are just "partial-cumming," since that's what happens a lot during intercourse cuz the guy gets tired from pumping his butt up and down all day, and it's real slow and it's soft friction, so he just has a "partial," and he can keep going and do it again, although he can't do that during masturbation like the guy in this study can. Everyone knows masturbation gives you a stronger orgasm.
While we cannot definitively conclude such, we agree that probably very few respondents claiming such a capacity are actually experiencing true, natural multiple orgasms.
Additionally, many men write us who experience on occasion two natural orgasms without losing erection in between and consider this multiorgasmic capacity. As we have responded often, it is not that unusual for men to sometimes experience arousal sufficient to briefly delay MRP long enough to enjoy two orgasms before this universal sexual barrier takes effect. However the fact that after two (perhaps three) orgasms the MRP kicks in clearly shows that this is not the natural MRP-free capacity documented in this Rutgers Study.

Is anyone working on a cure right now?
At present, no. But as seen on the homepage, new German research has hypothesized a possible relationship between levels of post-orgasmic plasma prolactin and the Male Refractory Period (MRP). This is the first research to attempt any understanding of MRP and is the first step toward such an ultimate "cure."
We are actively pursuing a collaboration with them on future research.

You mean the subject had lower-than-normal levels of post-ejaculatory prolactin?
The male subject of the German study mentioned previously had a lower prolactin level than the other males in the study. He came twice, two minutes apart, and then tried again a half hour later and came one more time.
The male subject of the Rutgers study came six times in 36 minutes, thus if a lower level of prolactin is key to overcoming MRP, it would be of great importance to measure his prolactin level given his much more prolific multiorgasmic response.

Is there a URL for the German study?
Also, did they measure the Rutger's subject for prolactin?
The answers to both questions are found in our two previous responses.
The URL is at the homepage beneath the announcement of the German study. The German study was conducted on a "multiorgasmic" subject capable of only 2 orgasms in a row, unlike the male subject of the Rutgers study.

I'm glad to have found this website. I'm a 42yo man whom since I can remember has been able to reach as many as 12 orgasms and no less than 5 with same erection. I can also ejaculate multiple times while flaccid. I'm wondering if this is due to me being overly sensitive or if it's something else.

Well, I hope I'm not cursing myself for saying this, but I am a 37 year old male and I've never experienced a "MRP". That said I'm sure I don't have partial ejaculations. Before different partners tiring I know I've achieved close to ten orgasms and wanted to continue. I've never studied any of the mentioned techniques or even realized I was different till my late teens. For real.

I am able to have many orgasms without ejaculating with this techniques (which is just to control your pc muscle), I do not experience less pleasure than orgasm with ejaculation (actually I would say that I find orgasm without ejaculation to be more pleasurable). I don't know about refraction time, after I have an orgasm without ejaculation I don't experience many sensations first but as I keep going the sensations increase and the pleasure comes back.
